75 Years without food and water

Prahlad Jani, also known as "Mataji", (born Chunriwala Mataji, 13 August 1929) is an Indian sadhu who claims to have lived without food and water since 1940. He says that the goddess Amba sustains him.
Mr. Prahlad Jani ( Mataji)
At the age of 11, Jani underwent a religious experience and became a follower of the Hindu goddess Amba. From that time, he chose to dress as a female devotee of Amba. Jani believes that the goddess provides him a liquid sustenance or water which drops down through a hole in his palate, allowing him to live without food or drink.

Since the 1970s, Jani has lived as a hermit in a cave in the rainforest near the Gujarati temple of Ambaji, awakening at 4am each day and spending most of his time meditating.

                                                      INVESTIGATIONS

Mr. Jani in observation room in 2003
In 2003 A medical research team of twenty-one specialists, headed by Dr. Sudhir V. Shah (Consultant Neurology & Head of Research Committee), had Prahlad Jani under twenty-four hours of observation for ten days at the Sterling Hospital in Ahmedabad.Everything was supervised by the Indian Devence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) and all possible clincial tests including daily blood counts and CT-scans of the body were done - with incredible results. He had no access to food or water, the toilet was sealed and the clothes and sheets were scrutinzed for traces of urine.

When Jani left the locked room for medical procedures and once for a sun bath on the clinic terrace, he was still under permanent watch by clinic personell and filmed by mobile cameras.During the first seven days Jani did not even have contact with water via the skin. After the first week Jani was allowed to gargle and bath and the water was measured before and after use.

From 22 April until 6 May 2010, Prahlad Jani was again observed and tested by Dr Sudhir Shah and a team of 35 researchers from the Indian Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), as well as other organizations. The tests were again conducted at Sterling Hospitals.Professor Anil Gupta of SRISTI, involved in monitoring the tests, described the team as being "intrigued" by Jani's kriyas apparently allowing him to control his body's physiological functions.

The team studied Jani with daily clinical examinations, blood tests, and scans. Round-the-clock surveillance was reportedly followed using multiple CCTV cameras and personal observation. The researchers say that Jani was taken out of the sealed room for tests and exposure to sun under continuous video recording.According to the researchers, Jani's only contact with any form of fluid was said to be during gargling and occasional bathing starting from the 5th day of observation, and the toilet in Jani's room was sealed to test his claim that he did not need to urinate or defecate.

After fifteen days of observation during which he reportedly did not eat, drink or go to the toilet, all medical tests on Jani were reported as normal and researchers described him as being in better health than someone half his age.

                                     INVESTIGATOR'S STATEMENTS

Dr. Urman Dhruv
Dr. Urman Dhruv, the General Secretary of the Association of Physicians of Ahmedabad, who supervised and approved the clinical study said' “Mr. Prahlad Jani did not take anything orally, neither fluid, nor water, nor food - during these  10 days of our project - and Mr. Jani did not pass urine or stool during these 10 days“.

Dr. Sudhir shah(consultant neurology and head
 of research committee)

“We are all scientifically educated and research orientated doctors. We racked our brains and it was the greatest surprise of our hitherto existing life... As if a bomb had hit us! The complete history of science has to be written anew. And our entire knowledge has been shaken to the core” said Dr. Sudhir Shah, the initiator of the study and Neurologist at the Sterling Hospital.

"We have to keep in mind that under the right circumstances, it is conceivable that humans can live 10 to 15 days without drinking - but without drinking and urinating, medical experts expect humans to die between day 4 and 6. Jani´s blood counts stayed in the safe range during the whole 10 days - an extremely spectacular outcome, and for skeptics, an extremely unbelievable outcome."

Roswell UFO Crash Incident

On July 7, 1947, an object crash landed on a ranch, approximately 75 miles northwest of Roswell,New Mexico, leaving a large field of debris. On July 8, 1947, the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) public information officer Walter Haut, issued a press release stating that personnel from the field's 509th Operations Group had recovered a "flying disk", which had crashed on a ranch near Roswell.

On March 22, 1950 a memo was sent by Federal special agent Guy Hottel, who was in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, to FBI Director J Edgar Hoover. Memo suggested the US military found three metallic, saucer-shaped objects, complete with occupants, near New Mexico, in the USA.

It said: "An investigator for the Air Forces states that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three-feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture."
Subsequently the incident faded from the attention of UFO researchers for over 30 years.

In 1978, physicist and ufologist Stanton T. Friedman interviewed Major Jesse Marcel who was involved with the original recovery of the debris in 1947. Marcel expressed his belief that the military covered up the recovery of an alien spacecraft. His story spread through UFO circles, being featured in some UFO documentaries at the time.

Since the late 1970s, the Roswell incident has been the subject of much controversy, and conspiracy theories have arisen about the event.
